Membership to the WAKR is processed annually and is renewed every Financial Year.
By renewing their membership, WAKR members agree to and are bound by the AKR Code of Conduct.
Ongoing membership is required to train and ensure eligibility in future gradings.

The WEST AUSTRALIAN KENDO RENMEI (INC) is not directly liable for any loss or injury sustained by you. All members are covered under the Australian Kendo Renmei (AKR). See Members Insurance.

Grading Form
If you wish to grade in an upcoming WAKR grading:

Ensure your WAKR membership is financially current.

Maintain continuity of training and membership for the entire period between grades and complete the total time-in-grade, as specified in the AKR Standard Rules for Dan and Kyu Examinations.

Forward the completed Grading Form to your Dojo Sensei for signing. Then forward the form to the Grading Organiser.

Use a separate form for each discipline or grading to be attempted. Complete all fields where appropriate.

Complete your written examinations (Dan grades) prior to the grading date. Submit with this application, if required or as requested. Ensure your name, details and AKR membership # is clearly visible at the top of each page of your answer sheet.

Note:

Overseas applications can only be submitted via an affiliated FIK National Federation, not from individual members.
Members of overseas FIK affiliates must include a letter of approval from the President of their national association and a copy of their current Grading Certificate.
Grading record cards will not be accepted.
