About the event
The AKR and Kendo NSW gratefully acknowledge the support of the NSW Office of Sport, whose funding under the Organisation Support Program has enabled them to conduct the 2026 Women’s Iaido and Jodo Seminar at Newington College Hall on 6–7 June 2026.
Women and girls are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this valuable opportunity.
We will once again have the support of two exceptional female instructors from Japan.
Sensei:
Takizawa Tomomi Sensei, Kyoshi 7 Dan Iaido
Takizawa Sensei began her Iaido journey in 2000 under the guidance of Ishidō Sensei. Promoted to 7 Dan in 2021, she received the Kyoshi title in 2023. Takizawa Sensei has had significant success in multiple tournaments across Japan.
